I’m a writer from Wigan and have been creating both digital and print copy for over six years.
I have written for home interest brands at a national publishing house, the websites of which has a combined monthly readership of 1.5 million. As well as writing frequent editorials, I had responsibility for much of the on-page content.
I decided that I wanted to expand my experience and move into agency and client work. For the last year I have written for multi-million pound ecommerce brands, not just in the UK, but in the US, South Africa, Australia and the UAE. I have a proven track record in writing engaging copy for an international audience.
This has included:
- Refreshing the content on entire sites whilst maintaining rankings from organic search
- Writing blog content to increase and drive traffic
- Increasing conversions through content designed to improve user experience
I have managed content production and publication across a portfolio of publishing and ecommerce websites and coordinated editorial teams in their creation of multi-platform content including video, social and editorial. I have also coordinated the curation of content for email newsletters and have managed the promotion of content through social media to increase brand awareness.
I have comprehensive experience in several CMS platforms including WordPress, Drupal and Weebly, and am proficient in all aspects of Microsoft office and Adobe Suite, including Photoshop and inDesign.
